About Us

Ombengu and Mopane Conservancies are affiliated with the Environmental Conservancy Group (ECG). The two conservancies are adjacent and share a common path and operate with a unity of interest for the Namibian people and a partnership for the enhancement of cultural, economic, and sustainability of ecosystems for all within the region.

The conservancy is nearly 100 square miles of pristine rolling land covered by beautiful flora and fauna. Yet, to many of us, it is more a state of mind than just an exquisitely beautiful place. This is Africa. The Africa of lions and leopards and elephants and gorgeous flying insects of silver dollar size.

While the goals of Environmental Conservancy Group reach far beyond hunting, the concept of hunting is supported by ECG as a practical method for the preservation and sustainability of wildlife species. Ombengu emphasizes not only numbers of animal on the Conservancy but also the quality of animals. For those who hunt, Ombengu is an opportunity to hunt in an area with a truly exceptional animal gene pool.
